Leading in mission-driven contexts demands so much of us. It’s all too easy to continually put our own needs last and to end up with nothing left to give. I’m here to change that.

Having witnessed so much stress and burnout among my peers, I know how vital it is that we look after ourselves, both for our own wellbeing and for the sake of our mission.

Informed by decades of work as a doctor and leader, and refined through scholarship and rigorous testing, I offer an evidence-based programme that helps leaders and teams thrive in the most challenging contexts.

You will be supported to integrate wellbeing into your leadership journey, helping you unlock the clarity, personal resources and energy you need to thrive and continue to perform at your best. As your own wellbeing strengthens you will be encouraged to broaden your focus and create a work environment where your whole team can thrive.

Training modules include:

Learn why your wellbeing matters and about the risks to your wellbeing as a mission orientated leader. Set personal wellbeing goals, with the support of an evidence informed and comprehensive wellbeing toolkit.

Understand what drives burnout and how to prevent it, Learn how to spot it in yourself and your colleagues, and what to do if you think you or a colleague are experiencing burnout. 

A deeper dive into our inner world will open your eyes to the incredible potential we have to create better wellbeing for ourselves. Learn how we can transform our relationship with our work so that it enriches and nourishes rather than drains us.

Understand what the evidence tells us about how to change behaviour. Learn how to build and sustain habits and practices that support your wellbeing. Learn about how to get back on track when good practices lapse.

Aimed at those who have attended an initial personal wellbeing session. Consolidate and deepen your understanding of how to maintain your wellbeing as leaders. Identify and tackle the challenges to maintaining your wellbeing, learn from the experiences of your peers and commit to wellbeing related goals.

How will you ensure you can recruit and retain talented people, and enable them to do their best work? This workshop introduces you to the evidence about wellbeing in the workplace. Armed with this understanding you will be supported to create a work environment that enables your whole team to experience greater wellbeing.

Deepen your understanding of how your inner wellbeing and your mission are connected. Learn how a commitment to your wellbeing and growth can serve to enhance your impact, and how changing your relationship with your work can help you maintain lifelong wellbeing.

How do we create a system where the wellbeing of the workforce is as important as the work itself? This workshop makes the case for collective wellbeing, and provides the tools and methodology for creating wellbeing for all of our peers in the sector. 

This training programme draws upon lessons learned from the successful GP wellbeing pilot that was run in the southwest of England. This training, which can be delivered as a single workshop or more in depth programme, will support you to replicate this highly effective model in your own region.
